ABOUT ME

My name is Ronnie Samuels, I am a Austrailian based artist, working out of my studio in the Marrickville industrial arts hub, Sydney.

I am of Samoan heritage and I was  adopted by Henare and Ann Samuels. My father Henare being New Zealand  Maori and Ann being of New Zealand and Irish decent.

The culminating impact of these three cultures has broadened my gaze and I have been able to gain a broader perspective of life's many nuances,

At 55 years, I am more at ease with how and where I stand. I seem to have a better understanding of self acknowledgement, and now feel more connected to the whole ideal of community.

Remembering to honour and respect the protocols of tradition while living contemporary urban society.

After 8 years of development, I have arrived at a significant design stage.
